Compared to traditional butyl tubes, AeroBlue reduces rotating mass and rolls more efficiently, delivering a smoother, more responsive ride without the drawbacks of latex.
TPU’s thin, resilient structure deforms more efficiently under load, helping tires maintain momentum over long distances. Combined with precise pressure control from the Clik Valve system, AeroBlue allows riders to dial in pressure accurately and preserve the efficiency gains that matter most on the road and on gravel.
Built for pressure precision and efficiency
Road and gravel riding demand accurate, repeatable tire pressure. Small changes in PSI affect rolling resistance, comfort, and traction, especially over long distances.
AeroBlue Road / Gravel TPU tubes use a 0.22 mm TPU construction selected to deliver low rolling resistance, a responsive ride feel, and excellent resistance to sharp-object punctures from glass, wire, and gravel debris. TPU’s resistance to tear propagation helps prevent small punctures from turning into ride-ending failures.
The reinforced valve-to-tube bond ensures pressure stability and reliable sealing through repeated inflation cycles.
Designed for hot e-pumps and sustained inflation
High-output electric pumps generate heat quickly, particularly when inflating higher-pressure road and gravel tires or making repeated pressure adjustments. With many TPU tubes, especially those using plastic valve stems or glued-in valve cores, heat can lead to core delamination, stem deformation, or slow leaks.
AeroBlue Road / Gravel TPU tubes are heat tested to 130°C (266°F), exceeding both rim-brake and electric-pump heat thresholds. The TPU formulation and reinforced valve construction are selected to remain stable during sustained, high-energy inflation cycles common with modern e-pumps.
